Please note that in accordance with State Government COVID19 protocols, this event may be cancelled at short notice.
To date, State Government approval is such that the Dawn Service can proceed as a Tier Three event with no more than 1000 people.
Lara RSL have allocated an area that can be managed in accordance with COVID19 restrictions, for 400 persons to include Lara RSL members and their families, current serving and retired members of the Australian Defence Force, families and invited guests. Should there be less than 400 persons, Lara residents are invited to attend subject to meeting the following requirements.
- Registration is mandatory via QR code or by filling out the attendance sheet.
- Social distancing is still required, if this is not possible then you must wear a mask.
- If you have any COVID19 symptoms or have been in a COVID19 hotspot in the 14 days prior, we ask you please to not attend.
The service will commence at 6:00am sharp. It will be dark, and may be cold and/or wet so please dress accordingly.
On-site parking is not available. Please use Lara Railway Station carpark. Limited seating will be available, we ask that this be made available for elderly and disabled attendees. Wreath presenters are requested to hold their wreaths until called forward to be laid. Portable toilets will be available.
On conclusion of the service, a “soldiers” tea or coffee together with an ANZAC biscuit will be served free of charge.
